By Lynn Reynolds, writer: longtime EastEnder, sometime Bermondseyite.
Keepers Kitchen & Bar is an establishment with a difference: bees.
Yes, you did read that correctly. This low-key lounge and restaurant in the Tower Hill Novotel serves honey produced by the industrious bee colony housed on the hotel’s roof.
I freely confess this is indeed the reason I first became a customer at Keepers, but I’ve been back a few times since then.
Why? The staff are incredible, and go out of their way to be helpful. I usually drop by for breakfast, and while I’m there I often do some work or just gawk at the TV news.
And if I should want to share a beverage or two and some food with friends after work, Keepers is open until late.
