You’ll find La Belle Époque, a French restaurant with an Asian twist, a stone’s throw from Heathrow Terminal 5. But should you wait until you’re flying before you eat there? No, no and thrice no.
Food at this restaurant easily matches the very best classic French meals I’ve eaten, while delivering some innovative thrills. A perfect example is the dish shown above: smoked wood pigeon with confit hens egg yolk, sweetcorn and autumn truffle.
You can currently sample this sublime creation as part of a 7-course tasting menu for £59, decidedly on the reasonable side for cooking of this standard. And definitely consider adding the optional wine pairing for an additional £35.
